What is Down Syndrome?

doorPrizesDown syndrome occurs when an individual has three, rather than two copies of the 21st chromosome.  This additional genetic material alters and course of development and causes the characteristics associated with Down syndrome.  Please visit http://www.dsamn.org/ for more information about Down Syndrome.

Come and join Gunnar and his family and friends and you will see that people with Down syndrome are more like you than different.
